Colour without the light

Colour without the light: Ranganathaswamy temple, Magadi.

We went on a day trip to Magadi last Saturday. Though there were many places to see, we spent most of our time at the Ranganathaswamy temple. On the way back we spent a bit of time at the Thippagondanahalli reservoir; we went there at noon and it was hot, the best time would have been sunset or sunrise time or on a cloudy day.

The breakfast table looks good :). Is it the problem with your camera AF again in the colour without the light photo?

one more use of ultra wide angle :)

The AF is gone(has been gone for some time now) and have not got it repaired, usually don't lose photos just because of using MF. I was trying to focus on the texture inside the lamp, guess it is slightly out of focus, maybe a few millimeters :) but didn't discard the photo, liked the color tones very much.

PS: The 'People whose blogs I read' link does not work.

I think the inside of the lamp is what is most in-focus. I like that picture.

The link should work now. I have three groups (people, news and communities) and they weren't public earlier. Thank you :) The site needs minor updates all over the place.

I think you should do a whole series on Doors.

What is the blue and red design? Loved the food plates one too.

Many of the pillars with simpler designs and without any gods on them had been painted, the blue and red design was on one of the pillars. Food plates: was the first shot of that day, had the wide-angle on the camera and thought it would make a good shot, a different view.

Nice shots - esp the diya and the monochrome pillars -- too good.

Thanks, only the pillars with gods on them were spared of the paint!
