Tipu's Palace and the Bangalore fort...
Entering the past: a visitor walks around Tipu's Summer Palace, Bangalore.
A mid-week holiday in January for Sankranti resulted in an evening shoot at a couple of places near KR Market.
Our first stop was Tipu's Summer Palace with its long pillars and arches. I am not sure if red was its original color but it is now, bright and vivid, contrasting with the brown and yellow of the wooden arches.
Next was a short stop at the Bangalore Fort. The access to the dungeon where Captain(Sir) David Baird was held captive is not open now and so all you can do is to take a walk around the well maintained lawn and get out.
We did take longer walk around the KR Market junction getting a better view of the seemingly chaotic bus stand and the sunset lit Jama Masjid on the way back.
