What a shot.. just love the 1st photograph. Did you also try time lapse ?
Thanks, time lapse requires a shutter-release cable(,a tripod and lots of time among othere things) and since the D70 does not support one, one needs to use the remote, which I didn't buy.
You can always plug it to your comp and do it via nikon capture (thats what I did long time ago)
I have the remote and I use it very rarely.. if you wanna borrow it, feel free.
comp? on the street! I think a comp can only be used in a controlled environment or a pre-planned shot from a good vantage point.
Will ask you for the remote when I think I will be needing it :)
awesome lo ! the scene is so typical - busy men/woman, ppl who loiter around, kannada and a bajaj scooter are all there !
thanks kano, very good obsevations :)
First picture is just amazing..perfect for the avenue road
Thanks, and this was when there a little less rush.
Yes, I too like the first pic the most...but all of them are so lovely deepsan
...beauty without colour.
And your photos, somehow, tell me of your love for Bangalore. Great work.
Thanks, my theme for this shoot was Unopen.
Who cannot love their home town.
the first photo looks like a painting.
He should enter it in some competition. It is a sure winner. Man the chaps on my LJ list are so good. Just yesterday I told another guy to enter his photo in a competition. You too arucard.
It is :) I had to do some to get the proportions just right.
You have pretty steady arm too, looking at the N K Ramaiah board just a little shake. Cool!
actually there is no shake in the individual photos, the photos are not aligned because I was taking them handheld without looking through the viewfinder and without a tripod(see here
), that is there are atleast three NK Ramaiahs in the combined photo.
Did you wait a lot for each photo? Since most of them are devoid of people or having just one person in it. I don't recall a recent bundh in Bangalore;-) Or was it after hours, since most of the shutters are closed. This is just an observation, the photos are class.
Didn't have to, we started on the street at around 7:30-8:00am Saturday morning and I don't think most shops open up fully till 10am, saw this(the alleys, shutters, cloudy light) early and it became my theme for the shoot. You can see some more photos from the group here
1st pic is just super maga !! the larger version looks even cool !! tried to move the scrollbars since the entire image didnt fit in the browser window .
somehow it feels as if the ppl are alive with movement ! awesome picture guru .
you taking any pics there? you are still posting old pics.
illa guru .. didnt get my camera here .. will get it next sem ..dec when i come back to blore . till then .. i still have lots of old pics to post :D
Loved the first shot (Avenue Road). It sure is unnatural but very attention-drawing. Saw it yesterday at the cyber cafe.
Thanks Zeeshan, aren't photos themselves unnatural, capturing a slice of time.
From the point of view that they capture slices of time, they are unnatural. In the case of the above, however, the combination of several into one makes it seem unnatural and likeable in that.
If you ask me about if photos in general are unnatural, I wouldn't be able to say.
