A brief visit to Pottery town
Raw

Raw : kept out to dry in the sun, while the raw material used lies in a lump underneath; shot at Pottery Town, Bangalore.

The group had been to Pottery town last weekend, one group on Saturday and another on Sunday; I went Saturday morning. The meeting point was the Frazer town police station from where we walked to Pottery town. There is small area here where many things are made from clay: pots, piggy-banks, lamps, statues, of all shapes and sizes; we had a good time taking some photos and getting to know each other, the shoot ended with breakfast at Komala's nearby.

9 Rings 8 Good morning 7
6 Byproducts 5 Tease 3 Concentration
2 Walking the track 1 Hanging

4 Painting

The "Concentration" photo will probably look better if the face is in the top right corner, instead of being superimposed on the hand. Somehow, that hand, the way it is, being so close to the face, makes it uncomfortable to look at. Probably that feeling is something to do with me, but you can give it a try if possible.

I had tried it, it didn't smoothly fit with the image.

The hands, I love the hands! Is that you reflected in them?

It is the potter, wanted to show both the physical and mental work being done, so combined two photos, one showing his hands and another his face.

I loved the track photographs. Usually, I don't like having one photo superimposed on another, even if I am OK with post-processing a photograph to tweak colours, contrast, etc... but I realize that with this one, you are making a statement about the concentration needed for creativity. Yes...I am probably nit-picking, and probably the first time that I have anything other than "wow" comments to offer! ( I do like the photograph though not as much as the others.)

In future, do mention when you have mixed photographic images...I am just interested to see how I will react to them given my predeliction (and probably, prejudice!)

Waiting for the images from the North.

While crossing the bridge, saw him getting closer to the bridge, pointed the camera down on the other side waiting for him to walk into the frame, he did and I clicked :)

There must be a better way of combining the two photos to show the same thing; you seem to have forgotten the Avenue Road photo which was a combination of 5 photos.

Oh, I thought that was a multiple exposure, in my ignorance! I think I should probably look at the content and not think about how the photo was created, like I would with any other work of art. Right...I will start making the change in thinking happen!

How nice it is to be in a dialogue which, at the same time, gives one good stuff to appreciate, and also makes one inspect one's thought processes. Thanks for the interaction.

Hi Sandeep, lovely pics..
Did you speak to anyone there?
I plan to visit the place sometime next week. Is it possible to talk to anyone there or did you just explore on your own?

Thank you

The potters are not very spread out and most of them(the few left) are within 5 mins of walking. They are used to people visiting by now and it should be easy to talk to them.
